Food Pantry-Buda United Methodist Church operates a food pantry that assists over 200 families per month. Monetary and non-perishable food donations can be arranged by contacting the church office. Volunteers are welcome and always appreciated. Various volunteer opportunities include weekly distributions on Wednesdays and Saturdays, drivers to pick up food orders at the Capital Area Food Bank in Austin and the Hays County Food Bank in San Marcos each week and stock crew on Friday afternoons.

As a partner agency with the Central Texas Food Bank (formerly known as the Capital Area Food Bank) and the Hays County Food Bank the pantry is able to provide extensive, non-perishable food choices to our clients. This is supplemented with fresh produce from the food banks and local farms.

Distribution hours are Wednesdays 10am-12pm and Saturdays 8am-10am. All pantry clients must live in the Buda or Kyle zip codes of 78610 or 78640 to receive assistance.

Helping Hands-Our Pastor’s Discretionary account assists the needy in the Buda and Kyle area. Money left on the altar railing during Communion Sunday supports this mission.

 Treasures-Resale Store

Several times a year Buda United Methodist Church opens Treasures-Resale Store to the general public as well as to food pantry clients.  The sales of the store support the food pantry as well as directly helps our food pantry clients by providing vouchers in which to purchase items for free.

Please bring your gently used items starting Sunday prior to the event date. Please DO NOT leave items outside the church.

Volunteers are needed to make this a success.  Contact Carol Windsor with any questions or to volunteer.
